PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The aim of the BBA degree programme is to provide students with the opportunity to develop the analytical and high-level business skills required to deal effectively with rapid technological, organisational and environmental change in a modern business setting. The programme equips students with the knowledge and critical understanding of the interrelationships between the different functions within business management.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
After completing the Business Administration program, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the strategic management process and an ability to assess industry attractiveness and the competitive environment.
  • Explain how effective leaders use their interpersonal skills to promote change, communicate vision, provide a sense of direction, and inspire employees.
  • Successfully utilize the tools and techniques of managerial accounting to make decisions about both day-to-day operations and long-term tactics and strategies.
  • Utilize the tools and methodologies needed to solve marketing problems, including developing marketing plans and the use of various marketing strategies.
  • Identify and analyze the pertinent concepts and theories of law, ethical issues that arise, and the principles of legal reasoning.
  • Apply fundamental processes, theories, and methods to business communication in the workplace and the overall writing initiative.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with English composition, including the ability to use appropriate style, grammar, and mechanics in writing assignments and to conduct academic research.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of computer applications and proficiency with the managerial applications of Internet technology, including the application of management principles to business-to-consumer, business-to-business, and intra business commercial ventures.
  • Identify and apply fundamental math concepts for operations and problem solving, and apply basic statistical concepts and tools in order to correctly interpret the results of statistical analyses.

The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching) is designed to provide the student teacher with a variety of pedagogical knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that will enable them implement the school curriculum effectively. Students will be able to acquire the following competences:

PROGRAM NAME: Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education

PROGRAM DISCRIPTION:

This program is designed to produce professionally qualified teachers who are able to apply a combination of subject matter knowledge with the relevant pedagogical approaches to ensure improved learning outcomes under various contexts. The qualification will contribute to the national efforts for the production of innovative and competent Secondary school teachers who would make lasting impressions in the lives of learners.

The qualification will also equip teachers with the necessary teaching skills, competencies, and strategies to be effective secondary school teachers, academic manager and administrators. The Bachelor of Education (Secondary) has been developed in response to the high demand for appropriately qualified teachers in Zambia. The rationale for the development of this qualification was motivated by the need to meet the need of producing well qualified teacher at secondary who will implement the Zambia curriculum Framework of 2013. The Twin Palm Leadership University Bachelor of Theology Degree Program involves the study of Theology and a concentration of Organizational Leadership.
